This is a sunset scene looking north on Dune Road in Quogue. If you’ve ever driven down Dune Road after a heavy rain, you might also know this as the stretch of flooded road. On the day I painted this, the rains had slowed and the sun had broken through for a nice sunset sail in Moriches Bay and that is where and what is painted here.
